How a licensing project works

Every Groundwork project follows the same path, whatever the state or level of care: feasibility, the application, then inspection and license.

  1. Feasibility

We check the state's rules, your site and your staffing against the level of care you want. You get a feasibility and roadmap before anything is filed, and it is credited toward the licensing project.

  2. Build the application

Policies, staffing plan, floor plan notes and every required form. We write your level-of-care policy manual and your staffing and credential plan as part of the packet.

  3. Inspection and license

We prepare your team for the state visit and respond to findings.

  4. Stay survey-ready

After the license, the annual survey-ready retainer helps you stay ready for the next state survey.

How long does licensing take?

No one can promise a state's timeline. We commit to submission dates and keep you ahead of what the state needs.

What about zoning and your space?

We flag zoning and facility issues early and work with your landlord and local counsel.

Do you help with accreditation?

Yes. We prepare you for accreditation readiness alongside licensing where it makes sense.
